Note, for example, the ebony-imitation wood handle, the beaded rim that encompasses the handle as if it were a goldsmith’s work, and the well-cast end knob where the row of beads is repeated.

Turned door knob of a model common on front doors mainly during the early 19th century. Primarily intended as a knob for double doors and front doors. Untreated iron, which does not need anti-corrosion treatment. The iron rusts the first time and then automatically gets a protective dark surface. Matching rosettes and key plates in iron are available for the knob.
