Door handle with rosette 5508 brass

Hand forged linseed oil fired iron in the shape of a snake. Originally from a farm in Åsgarn, southern Dalarna. Assembled with two hand-forged nails in each bracket. Can be placed horizontally or vertically.

Door print of a common model from the National Romantic era in the early 1900s. The prints are available in several variants from this time, many of them are angular and uncomfortable, but this particular model is both linear and comfortable to hold.

The model was popular mainly on exterior doors, but also appeared on interior doors. Iron prints were common until the 1950s, especially on log cabins and holiday homes where you want a more rustic touch.

There is a key plate, called a long plate, in the same style, slightly curved and with a “hammered” surface. This is included in the product Door handle iron, complete.
