Weight 0.6 kg

Old-fashioned bone glue of the quality once used to glue furniture and musical instruments. Stronger than the bone glue used for glue paint. The carpentry glue is environmentally friendly, contains no heavy metals and is not allergenic. The solvent is plain water and the glue does not dust when dry. Extremely strong, yet easy to dissolve by heating. The carpentry glue is therefore particularly suitable for the restoration of older furniture and objects, and for the new production of quality furniture. Almost all our newly made furniture is glued with this glue.

Bag of 0.5 kg. Glue in bead form.

Preparation:

  • Place the glue beads in a stainless steel container.
  • Fill with cold water up to the top of the beads.
  • Stir the mixture.
  • Leave to swell overnight.
  • Then melt the glue in a water bath, adding additional water until you have a mixture similar to “brown sauce”. The temperature of the glue should not exceed 60 degrees, then the properties of the glue will deteriorate.
  • Ready to use.
  • NOTE Do not mix more glue than you need to use. Ready-mixed glue is a perishable product.

Element brush short handle 50 mm

Chinese hog bristle 90 tops, straight top, untreated old wood handle. Used when painting small or confined spaces, where you want “access”.

ADVICE AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

To remove loose bristles, always soap-wash a new brush before use.

As the brushes contain pure natural bristles, it is essential that the bristles are not exposed to drying solvents, without re-greasing the bristles afterwards.

Before use: Oil the entire brush (with cooking oil, rapeseed oil, or similar) for a few days. Then soap wash out the brush.

After painting with water-based paints and “older” paints, e.g. egg oil tempera, glue paint, wash the brush thoroughly with soap and water.

After painting with oil-based paints, use a non-drying cleaner. Always finish with a soap wash.

It is important to smell the brush, properly washed out it only smells of soap or possibly pig bristles.

For longer painting breaks, lubricate the brush with soap and shape the brush so that it does not “bounce”, store the brush like that. You can also hang the brush in a container with oil and “forget about it”. This will keep the brush in good condition until the next season’s use.

ATTENTION! Linseed oil poses a risk of spontaneous combustion in rags and tangles!
