Wall lights were not common in the past. However, in rooms with high ceilings, such as in community buildings, there could be many wall lights.

However, they were rarely seen in homes. The exception was bedside lamps in bourgeois homes and on the larger farms. Sometimes there were also wall lamps in the farm offices. Bedside lamps were also found in old boarding houses and hotels.

The model for our lamp comes from a farm in Dalarna. The original is probably made in the 1910s. The material is black iron and the workmanship of very high quality.

Cast iron wall bracket, iron lamp arm, solid brass shade holder and brass and porcelain lamp holder. Shade of hand-blown glass. The lamp is sold assembled with two meters of black cord and cord switch. Height 20 cm, length 43 cm. Diameter of the shade 18 cm. Fitting screw 24.

Lampshade glass large green

Hand-blown, green lampshade in opal glass for cobbler lamps, elevator lamps, wall lamps, etc. The shade is deep and prevents the bulb from glaring, which is common in flat shades.

The light weight makes the shade particularly suitable for elevator lamps.

Shoemaker lamp small green shade white cord

The cobbler’s lamp was one of the first indoor electric light fixtures.

The model became common as ceiling lighting in all rooms in simpler homes from the 1910s onwards, however in wealthier environments it became the standard luminaire for less lavish rooms, such as hallways, kitchens and maids’ rooms.

The lamp provides nice and soft spot lighting and is suitable for smaller spaces such as windows.

All metal parts are made of heavy, polished, unlacquered brass. The shade is green with white inside and is made of hand-blown opal glass.

A specially designed cable strain relief relieves the cable so that it does not carry the entire weight of the luminaire. As an extra accessory, for a contemporary ceiling connection, a porcelain ceiling bracket with a wooden base plate is available, both with and without grooves.

Lamp Beehive, yellow, brass, 20 cm

Classic ceiling lamp in Art Deco style. Existed in Sweden and Europe during the 1920-1930s. The glass cup has an undulating shape and is reminiscent of a beehive, hence its name. The glass dome is 20 cm in diameter, about 18 cm high and together with the pendant the lamp is about 40 cm long.

The pendant is made of untreated brass. Brass – or poor man’s gold, as it used to be called – is a non-magnetic copper alloy, where copper is alloyed with zinc. The higher the copper content, the yellower the tone. Untreated brass oxidizes over time and gives a beautiful matte yellow-brown tone with patina.

The glass is of mouth-blown opal glass, formerly called milk glass. Commonly found in white color but is here produced in yellow tone. The opal glass spreads light softly, effectively and evenly. The surface of our glass is glossy, but can also be satin or matte.

Made in Europe and sold in several combinations and lengths. Also available in white opal glass and nickel-plated brass. Choose between 20 cm and 50 cm pendants.
